We are jumping off the wagon, and for good reason. The baby boy that we are adopting came 10 days early and was born on Day 3 of the challenge! We spent all of Tuesday at the hospital, so needless to say, it didn't happen for us. Tomorrow will be spent back at the hospital, and hopefully we'll get to bring him home.

We're looking forward to trying it again down the road, though. We previously made it through 4 days a couple months ago and even that 4 day experience was great.

To everyone else, great job and keep it going! We've loved reading the other comments. And great job Tony and Alisa in everything you're doing this week to organize this. Have fun at the marriage retreat…you're going to have some great stories to share!

Well, we missed Day 2, but we did kind of did Day 2 on Day 3….we changed it up a bit last night. Maybe a quickie tonight? we shall see…I'm tired right now and need to get more rest at night. The kids being off of school means they are up later. Does anyone else's kids think that we have to stay up until they stay up? I have a 12 & almost 10 year old…

You're a trooper for making this happen while feeling sick. We hope you start feeling better soon. I, Tony, can remember there were a handful of nights where Alisa or I felt sick when we did our 60 Days of Sex. It's tough, but looking back I'm glad we continued on. Day 4 down. You two only have 3 days left.

Made hubby's welcome home from a business trip a good one! Upon coming home, he found candles, music, rose petals, lingerie, strawberries….

It was good! Wish he could have stayed home from work today!

Day 4 – not so great. The evening started off well with a candlelight picnic of cream soda, chocolate strawberries, and whipped cream under the stars on our back deck. But once things started heating up, we couldn't seem to move on to that final stage. This is a huge frustration for us when it happens because we are young and feel like we should be able to have sex all the time! However, we did have a romantic evening, and we enjoyed having some conversation that didn't involve our toddler! Blah for Day 4 – Jamie and Katie from South Carolina

We are on our way home today and leaving on a late flight so sleeping in this morning and enjoyed ourselves twice =) To think that couples only have sex 4 times a MONTH is WOW… Maybe because we are still 'newly married' (2 1/2 years) and no children we average 6 times a week and on our days off morning and night at times. =)

Today was a bit awkward and a little forced, with no “resolution,” if you get my drift. I felt like we rushed it. Not sure what makes a “quickie” successful. But, my husband gave up seeing the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to get Day 4 done, which speaks volumes to me of his love.

What a wonderful evening. When you say final stage are we talking about climaxing? If so, from a guys point of view it gets tougher as the days go on. I have had this issue both times we have done our challenge and am interested to see what happens over the next 4 times for us.

If it's that you are disconnecting emotionally during this time it might be an opportunity to talk to each other about what is hindering you from getting to the final stage. We have had this happen to us and learned that Alisa really needed to just get everything off her chest before she was ready to make love.

For me, I was wanting and desiring more variety. As we talked about these we now know what is needed so that we are able to both enjoy our love making.

Hope this helps and keep it up. All of us are going to have blah days. Just don't let it turn into 2 or 3 days of blah.

We then took the time to talk about what happened and what our expectations were as we moved forward. Hope this helps and keeps you two going. If you have any questions let us know.

Day 4 was great. We have been having fun with it and it's led to more romance – which was a surprising side effect. I mean we have a ton of romance – but knowing every night we were going to have sex left the door open for more romance and anticipation. Tonight he made a playlist of my favorite songs on Windows Media and played it while he gave me a massage and then we spent time together. This marriage I have IS extraordinary already – and this just adds to it. – Beth and Jeff M (Phoenix, AZ)

Day Four was both a challenge and a blessing. A challenge because the usual work-week fatigue strikes at the end of the day, but a blessing because we intentionally overcame it and enjoyed each other and time with each other. Some suggestive texting during the day, a few more playful grabs than normal and the thought that, yes, we are doing this for each other and our relationship, and that the investment in each other is paying off so well in increased intimacy, decreased misunderstanding and constant thoughts of each other! On to day FIVE!

Jennifer is still not feeling well, but we are still trying to focus on our marriage. The kids had us busy all day, but after they went to bed Jennifer sat down with me to watch the Stanley Cup. We spent the time talking about what we wanted to do for the summer (Vacation and building a deck) and how we were going to pull it off. We prayed foor our children and our marriage then went to bed as overtime started (I wish I had stayed up 4 more minutes, but Jennifer was tired). We have another busy night tonight. Somehow we will figure out how to spend some time together.

I'm a morning person and my hubby is a night owl, so to facilitate the Challenge, I made a commitment to stay up later so that we could accomplish each day's goal. I typically read until my husband comes to bed and it may be an hour or so, but last night, when I climbed into bed, there he was ready and waiting! Afterwards, we talked about how neither of us thought we would make it through the whole week as our average before was once a week. We are both so excited to be enjoying this challenge and instead of being two grumpy 45 year olds, we are like giggly teenagers. Now, three more days seem like a piece of cake.

We don't mean the climaxing. We never even got to that point! It was more the actual (hmmm. . . how to put this delicately?) physical part that never got aroused. Awkward but just being honest. Hubby really frustrated, and wife a little disappointed. We seem to be right on emotionally! In fact, we have never gotten along better, and our conversation on the deck was very romantic! It seemed like everything was going along smoothly – until we got to the part of actual love making. Oh well. On to Day 5!

Ok, our 4th day was awesome. I called my mom who was supposed to keep the kids so we could go on a date and she had something come up so could not keep them. Amy and I were so disappointed…anyway I called my dad and he said bring them over and they can stay the night!!! We dropped them off at 5 pm and began our date night! Went to one of our fav. restautants. Had a few drinks, an appetizer and decided to share an entree. Yummy, rainbow trout…We had a long dinner, like we were there for 2 hours. So nice to not be rushed. We had tickets to the movie so we left the restaurant and headed to the show. Before we left the restaurant I went to the mens room and sent Amy a really provocative text msg, I knew she would read it before I made it back to the table. When I made it back she was reading the msg and smiling…BTW, I asked her to wear a specific outfit, right down to the lingere. She did, and I knew it so I was distracted in a good way the whole night…So we got to the show and I totally thought we would have the theatre to ourselves (talk about changing it up) but we ended up with about 6 others there with us. I asked Amy if she would still fool around despite the other people and she said yes!!! We were sitting on the back row all by ourselves and nobody around us (in case you were wondering). As soon as the movie began Amy let me know it was OK to make my move. And I did. And she was happy. And so was I. As a matter of fact the beginning of the movie was my favorite…it was great to focus on her and her only. After the show we made it home and lit some candles, turned on Sade (our lovemakin' music)got out the massage oil and picked up where we left off. (a little delayed gratification for me for a change) I totally know we connected in so many ways. We both talked about our dreams during dinner, so much fun. I did tell her that just the fact she agreed to do this challenge meant so much to me, she just smiled. This morning we were able to go for a really long walk together and even go get a bagel and coffee together before my dad dropped the kids off. So, totally awesome date night. Thanks for your prayers and we both are looking forward to finishing the challenge!!

Day 4 fun: I (wife) had an evening meeting until 9 pm last night. I checked my watch with a twinkle in my eye and ran out telling everyone I HAD to get home but not telling why! We're tired but happy and committed. I've made some fun plans to mix it up tonight for Day 5… a different erotically named and shaped food in each of 5 rooms with an “activity” to go along with each. Ed & Megan from PA. I'm late getting this posted as yesterday was very busy for both us of with work and me preparing for a conference today. This week has really challenged us to acknowledge how we interact during the course of the day as we're both entrepreneurs. We tend to interact more as business partners on some days rather than husband and wife. We are becoming much more aware of what the other needs to feel that connection. Thanks for the challenge, we really needed this.
